Finally got some blood on that Busse - Anyone esle?

No discussion of what yall are hunting with? I would imagine most of you guys would be still/stalk with Rifle/Shotgun?
.... me it is mostly a .308 I built up on a Sako AII action. This year will see the .375H&H out more an more in prep for an overseas hunt later in the year.

Hawkeye dagger ;)

Really though, I only hunt small game, mostly a Benjamin Marauder .25cal. Extremely accurate, powerful, whisper quiet and ammo is available and cheap enough to actually get a lot of shooting in.

For me it's a 308 for deer usually, 45-70 for deer hunting when bear season is in at the same time just incase I get that lucky and 5.56 for predator hunting...soon to have a 300blk in the mix also

Only in Australia do you get both leeches and scorpions. LOL.

Skinned quite a few rabbits and bunnies with my TB. Excuse my poor skinning technique, I'm self taught.

No apologies necessary. Looks good to me. Ready for the pot. "Learn by doing". You're smarter than most!

Thanks for the pics and the stories. I hope to see more.

Huntin' season still going on down here so maybe I'll have more to post soon.

Keep 'em comin"!

You Aussies have stuff that'll kill you lurking a few feet from your house! I guess that's why y'all are a tough bunch.

... it is really not nearly as bad as it is portrayed.... ;) And I am a great big wimp ... Girly Man.... Big Girls Blouse.... ;)

Andy, what kind of snake is that?
..... we have a very creative name for that one.... "Red Bellied Black Snake" .... all the cool names were taken by the time we got around to this one... ;)

The name of the snake is not really all that important.

My impression is that in Australia there are two kind of snakes ...

those that can kill you, and those that can't. Isn't that all that matters?

To a degree, unless it is obviously a python, it is best to ASSUME you may die from the bite. Some worry me much more than others. For example, if Red there was to give me a nip I would bee seeking help ASAP but not completely freaked as I will probably make it OK. Should a Common Brown, that also inhabits that area (and my neighbourhood :( ) give me a peck the situation is a little more dire... ;)
