I use to have a friend that knew mushrooms and we'd pick Chanterelles in the hills across the bay to the east of San Francisco. We'd come back with 5-gallon buckets full. We made a mushroom soup with them once that to this day has to be the best soup I have ever had in my life!

It would be worth the time to get to know mushrooms just to pick them again and make that soup.

Tony - visit me here in Poland and I show you places in the woods where the ground is literally yellow with chanterelles. :thumbup: Long time ago when I was studing and needed cash for beer I use to pick them up and sell them.
Actually today I had sopu with chanterelles for dinner. Yummy!
