Freaking fantastic!!! Chris Reeve will debut the new Classic Sebenza's with micarta inlays and fully bead blasted handles at the Blade Show next month.

I talked with Mike Young today to reserve mine at the show. The knives, large and small, will only be availble with stonewashed S30V blades/silver lugs. How sweet!

This is the first time ever that the factory will unvail a new product at the show. The only picture I've seen so far is in the new issue of Blade magazine. Orders are filling up, get yours while you can!

Let the race begin.OH MAN

It looks like a real beauty.  Now I'm even more bummed that I can't attend Blade. :( :( But next year will be a different story. :D ;)

Now that sounds like a real winner to me. It might even get me back into a Sebenza! Any details on color, or will it just be black?

I think the color of the micarta will be the same as on the Neil Robert knives. Kind of greyish green.

Good news for you Mnandi folks. BIG 10-4 on the micarta ones. Yes, they will be making those as well!

Great to see such excited reaction!! Here is a sneak at what the Classic Sebenza looks like - the micarta is black but it does take on a dark green/gray sort of color. It is availabe in large or small Classic, and left or right handed.

I am not sure how the assumption that a micarta Mnandi was availble crept into the discussion - we are not planning a micarta Mnandi - sorry!

Look forward to seeing y'all at Blade -

You're not the only one brother. :( :( :( I guess that means I'll have to settle for the Box Elder Mnandi. :D :D ;) ;)

You make that seem like the lesser of the two options, trane fan :D :D No micarta, but at least you can still get the boxwood ~ and unless I'm mistaken you'll find it lovely. I hope you get a very pleasant surprise with it....I definitely did :)

By the way, I'm racking my head to find a large buckeye burl - can't see a single one :(

Does anyone know when the annual limited editions come out  and will they have the buckeye model woodie

Thanks for the update Anne. I guess I dropped the ball on the Mnandi. :footinmou
Thought after talking with Mike the other day he said you were going to be cutting the micarta for the Mnandi. Misunderstanding. Sorry to trane fan and others for shooting your hopes up and knocked back down. :(

Still glad to see any new additions to the Sebenza line. See you guys at the show! :)

Roefisher, it seems lik they almost alwasy have several CBB large sebenzas each year. True North usually get the best selection, get on his mailing list, I think the 2005 are gone. They seem to come out mid to late spring.

You an also post in the wanted section of the forum, it's worked for me.

ALso you can get it directly from CRK themselves, unless the 2006 list is ll spoken for already.

I'm on the mailing list and have posted on a couple of wanted threads, too.

Just patiently waiting, now  I think that it's the next one for me, hopefully It'll happen soon

Or a kind, generous, fellow forum member, maybe :D

I like that new micarta Classic. :) Looks like my "to buy" list just went up a number. :D Another Classic I would really like to see would be the one with black/green or black/blue G-10 inlays… Any chance of that happening?

Okay, I thought I might want one, and then Anne posted the picture. Now I have to have one.

I'm still waiting on my 2005 WIS set (snakewood this year), I've gotten them as early as spring and as late as Christmas in the past. I don't recall seeing any 2005 Woodies for sale yet...
