Finally got around to throwing together a beater skinner. 1/8" CPM154, 3" blade, handrubbed to 1000, brass goodies, ipe handle sanded to 800, rubbed with 0000 steel wool and Watco teak oil. I call it a beater cause it is full of scratches and other various flaws that make it a beater. I got another reminder about how hard ipe is, and hard to work with also. The stuff chipped a lot when I pressed the pins through on the backside. Whatever, don't feel like taking the time to fill em.

I would have posted this in the gallery, but my broke a$$ cant afford the knifemaker account yet.

Hey! I'm with you on the account thing, I hope to be selling a few knives soon so I can start paying for my materials, Knife-Maker account, and ABS membership. Anyways, I like the blade. I found some polish wax laying around called Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. I prollly had it for my car but I gave it a shot and it did a great Job on my Nickel Silver Guard. I am just starting to make a couple of Knives Just for me... Can't wait... and of course a couple to sell. Heh.
