WHOO! I'm so freaking excited!!!!

Just needed to shout it from the rooftops. It'll be my fourth spydie in addition to a PM2, Dragonfly 2 and Temperance 2. Very happy to be seeing my spydie family grow!

I was surprised when I got my Native 5 its actually my favorite Sypderco even over my Military 2 ... congrats

Congrats! It's definitely my current favorite Spyderco. I'm growing quite fond of the Sage 2 as well.

Congrats! I have about 25 Spydercos but my first Native 5 was the 2015 forum knife. Native 5 is truly an excellent EDC blade! I am glad you like yours as much as I like mine!

Congrats on a great purchase! I've had mine for a year and a half, and still carry it as my secondary almost every day. One of my favorite knives!

Congrats!

Just got a Native 5 G10 myself off the Exchange. Gonna try a blade swap with my Native 5 Forum 2015 to get a FrankenNative 5 S90V G10.

Hope it'll EDC as sweet as it sounds. ;)

Congrats... I found the G10 model to be quite blocky in the hand, but if you radius the corners of the G10 with some sandpaper it becomes melt-in-the-hand comfy.

Loving my native as well.it quickly became my favorite spyderco. Such a solid just right size edc'er.and that sound is like no other when she locks up,so crisp.never have to worry about blade play with this lockback.ok now I have to fondle her a bit.open (snap, close, click, open, snap, close click)gotta love it!

always happy to see another native owner, truly one of spyderco's grate lockbacks.:)

Thanks for all the positivity everyone! I love publicizing my excitement on this forum :)

It arrived today and I have to say...the size is even more perfect than I thought it would be. I was doubtful that I would be able to get a four finger grip without using the choil but I definitely can.

When I ordered it I specifically asked for them to check the centering and lock up. And let me say...the lockup is SO solid. On par with my PM2, which is the most solid and without play blade I've ever owned. As a result, the action is really stiff, but I always prefer an initially stiff action that loosens with time. I think that after opening and closing and using it for a little while it'll become perfect (this also happened with my PM2).

Centering is a tiny bit off, but nothing is rubbing so I'm fine with it. I can't help feeling that this is a result of the incredible tightness of the blade as it stands right now. I'm curious to see if the centering will improve as I continue to break in the knife.

Overall, I really couldn't be happier with my purchase. I've sold a lot of knives lately in the effort to streamline my collection/users. This is a purchase that I doubt I'll ever regret, and it will fall nicely into my edc rotation alongside my PM2. The only problem is that now I have the itch for just ONE more spydie for the time being.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone for the positivity. Can't wait to start using this beauty!

Also...I suppose some pics are in order at some point, huh?

I recently bought one and one or two weeks later the second Native 5 FRN was there !
It speak for itself I think... :)
Such a great knife !!!
I actually (today) paired it with a Dragonfly H1 SE.

Same here ! With the Caly 3 I feel much better using the choil, with the Native, with or without is just really nice in the hand !!!

Still not working ! There should be the way to "How to post pics" in a thread in the forum. ;)

How's the lockup on these compared to the delica? I really like the looks of this but I'm just not sold on the lock back.

The Native lock back is more 'beefy' than the Delica and requires a bit more force to operate.

You just need to try one and see for yourself. ;)

I'd almost go as far as saying the Native 5 has the most solid mid-lock of any small to medium size Spyderco.
If you can, try to find somewhere local to you where you can pick one up to try; you'll notice immediately how stout it feels.
