I had been wanting one for a while but wasn't about to pay $200 for one on ebay. So I looked on here the other day and saw the GPknives had para 2's in stock for the wonderful price of $113 shipped and decided to pull the trigger.

And I'm really glad I did. This knife is amazing! I had never used a compression lock before but was very impressed with how fluid it is and the fact that you can still flip it open and closed with one hand like an axis lock. It is incredibly lightweight and the ergonomics are perfect. This one is a keeper folks :D Pick one up while you can!

Im just mad I missed out on the S90V version

The title should be picked up, sorry I cant type to save my life.

I got my order in this morning at another shop, even called first, so hopefully I got one... After the order they didn't show in stock. Picked up the UKPK carbon fiber for office carry too. Looking forward to that one as well :-)

Pictures man! I know - it looks like all the other ones!

Yeah a few of us got lucky on that GPK order, the six that they had were gone in a couple hours.

Mine is out for delivery right now, my mail doesn't arrive till 3:30-4:00pm.

I'm going buy the mailman a faster jeep.

Mine from GPK is also out for delivery but I won't be there to sign for it today. I have to wait for tomorrow :(

I got one of those with S90V: my favorite Spyderco overall.

I also am stoked that I got one in CTS-20CP (which is Carpenter's S90V basically) guaranteed to arrive my way.

Re. the S30V Para 2's, I am waiting for the Digicam version. I will definitely get me one of those!

Congrats on your purchase!

After losing my first preordered s90v para 2 in the mail, I was able to grab another and got it today, I absolutely love it, smoother than my para 1, awesome lock up with a great sound. I also like that by pinching the compression lock with index finger and thumb I can flick the blade open and closed easily. I have a second s90v coming in two weeks and the cts-20cp sometime this month.

Just opened mine, it's date coded L J which is 12/10.

It has the updated lockbar tab

The blade and the box are dated. The date "code" on the box label is a simple alpha code for the month and year (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.). In this case L=12 (December), J=10 (2010). Not all blades are marked. Those that are are (in every case I've seen) marked near the pivot, and the date can only be seen when the knife is disassembled.

so, 4 out of the 6 available have posted in this thread, since i got mine from GPK as well :D

My blade was centered 50/50 and it has strong lockup. Lockbar is firm, but that's fine with me. Switched it to tip up immediately.

I'm happy with mine, it was shaving sharp, but that didn't stop me from polishing the edge with the edge pro. :D

Got my G-10 version from KC today as well. What a great knife - will definitely be my go-to blade for work.

Just made the lanyard. The silver skull didn't turn out so good in the picture, but the lighting here is really bad, so I had to use the flash on my crappy camera.

This is just the perfect folder for me.

Dammit, the retailer I usually buy from sold out of these about two days after they posted them on their website. :grumpy:

Guess I'm still gonna be waiting for a while before I get one.
