Now I can't wait until they get a chance to start on the order.

Should be a great little combo! I'm a big fan of 14" length for lighter and straighter blades like this :)

God, I hate waiting. I thought I was a patient man, but it would seem that I'm not. I hope the project starts this week.

Should be coming up on starting soon! maybe 6-10 days until hammers get swung but not sure how many days the guys are shut down for Tihar

Btw, I would like to thank Mandip for working on my blades, they look wonderful. I saw what looks to be his mark on the chitlange. If I am mistaken I apologize and would love to know who is working on them.

Yep! that asterisk looking star is Mandip's mark. He's a fantastic smith and we're so lucky to have him on the team :)

Just got the email with the sheath pics. Almost done!
Those are all very nice pieces...but that Salyani is a true beauty. It looks like a very high quality piece from the past! The decorative carving on the handle...its stunning. Excellent choice of materials too. That horn with the steel fittings..so elegant. Im really impressed (jealous too TBH).

If that was my order, I would be adding a Salyani style sheath for the Salyani. The leather "western" style is cool for carry and utility...but IMHO the overall quality, look and vibe, would be taken to next level, with a traditional sheath matching the kukri. Its such a good piece already. But the matching period style sheath would easily make it ito a "pass on" piece. (Pass on piece in the UK means something that you can keep in the family...after you)
