Well, my XXXX S60V Blur arrived from the Kershaw factory sale today via Kershawguy's excellent service(Thanks Dave):D:thumbup: I now have an S60V Blur that I can actually cut stuff with and am damn excited about it. Only a fool (cough, DV, cough) would use one of the super elite 12 to slice out the weekly Christmas coupons from the newspaper using the garage floor as a cutting board:eek: How are those repairs coming anyway?

Seriously though, this XXXX Blur is gorgeous. The only flaw is a slight upward "wave" in the grind line on one side, which I could show you a picture of, but 1. It won't have any effect on performance, and 2. I'm no good at photography, especially real close up stuff:o.

Anyway here are some pics, and I plan on putting this blade to work asap!

Kershaws 2nds look better to me than many companies best. I still love that color best out of all the blurs. Enjoy your knife and that S60V steel. It's getting rare now but it's still a damn fine steel with lots of vanadium in it.

It was the first steel I had that made me feel that diamonds were nesessary for.

Don't you worry yourself JM. I've got a user in S60V. In fact, I've got 3 of them here. But only one of em is a blem! :p:D

:D

riffraff!! You lil Sherlock Holmes you:o Now, you must remember that my original S60V Blur was only set there in the garden just that ONE time, for pictures ONLY:D I know the thing is rare, but it's not like I'm ever going to go and try to sell the thing. Must admit though, way to keep me on my toes;)

So when is #2 going on auction? Just did a search for S60V Blur and got nadda...

Hi guys, just ordered a blem s60v blur and can't wait to check it out. How will the steel compare to my sg2 blur? I love that knife and want to know what I can expect with this one. Thanks, Russ

I want to see how much the last non-X'ed blur goes for as well.

I think the grind line is the only "imperfection" on mine--I don't view it as one at all though--everything about it is just perfect right now.

so what's up with the blur?....any comments on sharpening...edge holding?....how is it to use.....ryan

Son, you're killing me with that pic. :D

JM, let us know how it slices. I can't come to using the ones I have here. :(

I took the ol grinder to mine yesterday and then paper wheeled it. Stupid stupid sharp. I plan on cutting some stuff soon...gotta find some victims.

I just got my 2 today. I have to say I'm pretty impressed. After I grind away the recurve, it will be perfect! :p

I cant seem to figure out how to grind the unevenness out...the kicker is, I cant figure out if its a primary grind deformity or not...mine still looks wavy, but holy geebus is it sharp.

Based on the one I played with, the primary grind is not quite flat. It's subtle, but it shows up when the edge bevel is put in. Your only option would be to get the whole thing reground like Tom does. Of course it doesn't affect performance.
