Finally, S60V that I can use!

Based on the one I played with, the primary grind is not quite flat. It's subtle, but it shows up when the edge bevel is put in. Your only option would be to get the whole thing reground like Tom does. Of course it doesn't affect performance.
By Jove, I think you're right. Holding one of my S60V blems up to my monitor in a darkened room, I can reflect the blue horizontal line that divides these BFC posts...and on the "good" side, that reflection is fairly uniform. On the "blem" side, you can definitely see waves in the primary grind. The stonewash finish keeps it from being obvious in real life lighting.

After listening to some people that know their stuff when it comes to S60V, I think morrow_j is on the right track.

A full thin Krein regrind would leave waaay to thin an edge for good retention. I'm going to knock the recurve off and hope that will eliminate the problem. Or I may leave it alone and stick it in my pocket. The edge is extremely sharp as it is.

As was mentioned to me, "They didn't stop making S60V for no reason".

Actually...I have a ZDP Leek Tom did and he didn't take much off when compared to my stock ZDP Leek. No where near what he did on my Sebenza. I bet he could take just a bit off. Why don't we just ask him? I think he has one of the Blur blems.

He did buy one. It would be interesting to see what he does to his. I've got one he did, a MC ZDP. I'll guess he took off more than 20% of the blade. The sucker is thin.

But as I mentioned, after talking to some serious steel junkies, I'm rethinking the S60V.

Im not having mine redone...waves or no waves it is stupid sharp.

I ordered two more from Dave.
