Now she's "de-valued" by a couple hundred bucks since i took a drum sander to the slabs :foot:

This is a fatty, and it had HUGE scales. It was just way too handle-heavy and fat-scaled to be useable.

I considered sending it in to the shop for new slabs, but was reluctant to wait that long --- sooooo, "why not, if I screw them up I can always send it in later for Garth to fix..."

The balance is way better now and it looks pretty nice. I'm pleased with it. Now i just need another whitetail to try it on...

It's funny, I'll keep a knife "mint" forever, BUT if I ever decide it's a keeper and user, there's no telling what might happen to it :D
 
I need to stay away from Busse threads. Everytime I wander over here, I end up spending more money than I should. I have a wheelbarrow's worth of pistols, yet no 1911 style. Now I'm thinking, every red blooded American needs at least one. Drat and double drat on yea all.

OK....seems like most everyone has their Busse posing with a .45ACP, and more notably, the 1911. Why? Are 9mm's not man enough to be pictured with a Busse? Lets discuss that a bit.

i dont own any 9mm's, otherwise id post pics of them too.
 
I'm kind of wishing I was shooting a 9mm recently, with the cost of .45 ammo :cool:

I do like 9's :thumbup:

No dark conspiracy. The OP asked for a 1911 thread. Busse made/makes grips for such a pistol. At least one of those pistols shown (mine) was a 10mm.

I think it's been well covered by other posters already, but hopefully I can post some pics of a Browning Hi Power sometime in the near future....been wanting one of those....my favorite pea shooter (9MM) :p

I posted a 9mm... well, it's actually a combo of either 9mm or 9x23... I prefer the 9x23 for carry, but for fun and plinking... the 9mm is great.

Why discuss 9mm? Even the girls around here shoot 1911s :thumbup::D:cool:

Just messing with ya! :p I prefer a 1911 because it is the first pistol I learned to shoot. My Drill Sergeant's kind and thoughtful instruction :eek:instilled a love for this particular pistol and caliber :D

Well, regardless, they are ALL some very sweeet firearms. It shows that Hogs care as much about firearms as they do about knives.
