I blew my wad on a b11 though. Hopefully whatever the announcement is, it will be sold on the website after the initial offering.....

If it is the Basic 8, I wouldn't expect it to be available on the website. The Basics that sold in the somewhat recent past were all sold via Ganza style offering, it seems the Resiprene-C handled blades are being sold through the storefront only via Scrap Yard as best I can tell at this point.
