you guys know how it goes, the seemingly endless search for "the one"...lol

well, i have been trying to find the fixed blade for me, you know the goto blade, have others, but for some reason always seem to reach for this one...even if another may be somewhat better for the task.

the uses fro me will be general outdoors use, hunting, camping, hiking etc...
so been trying to find "mine".

have tried some really nice blades, and by no means would i turn my nose up or down any of the ones i have used.
from buck, to cs srk, cs recon scout, cs traimaster, fallkniven a1, busse ffbm...
all VERY respectable and tried and true blades that have never let me down.

BUT, never really did "it" for me.

well, today i received in the mail, at least by feel, "my" blade, will have to run her thru the paces a bit, but am not expecting to be let down.

drummroll please.........

and my new forund love...is....

BUSSE SKINNY ASH!!!!!!

absolutely FITS me!

It is said that , the inital edge is not sharp and Asymmetric!
how about yours?

Congratulations! That one's a winner for sure.

I got one from Skunk and liked it so much I had to have another. I stripped the first one and it was my "go-to" blade for a while. Although I still love it, lately it's been edged out by something else, but that's a different story... :D

Mine came out of the cardboard sleeve and into the hardwood and has only been touched up on a crockstick to maintain paper slicing sharpness. Take some time and enjoy your new blade.

I guess it's okay, if, you know, you're a lady, and have a hard time lifting a regular ASH-1. :p

The skinny ASH-1 is a great one, no doubt. That's the only pattern besides AD's that I have multiples of. Great choice.

My personal go-to is the Basic 9

I like your style... :)

Looks like my Tan/Tan has arrived this morning from the Store (Thx Skunk!).

So I guess its gonna get stripped and blasted tonight too....

Pic fest a tad later.

I only have one Skinny ASH, but I DO love it. It came quite sharp ... but not super or crazy sharp. To date, have not succumbed to the knife knut's usual desire to produce that 'crazy' level of sharpness.

Got a NICE leather sheath for mine direct from Dwayne P (Leatherman) at last year's Blade -- Says INFI Hog right on the sheath. :D

Looking forward to the pics mate:cool:

My only dull infi so far was one that some one else had convexed. They listed it as super sharp, but it would not shave hair, and hardly sliced paper. But a few minutes on the strop and sharp enough to pop hair.

My sharpest factory edge was the SS, It was hair popping sharp.

Just popped the SASH from the box and it sliced and diced a sheet of A4 to bits, then shaved hair.

Now for the strip tease... :)

Well, the SASH is different to my CG!

When I stripped the CG it was more or less like a DC.

The SASH has come up like the SAR and looks like a comp finish! Maybe not for all, but I like it.

Ill finish the SAR blast and blast this one in the morning, then a resharpen on both and good to go!
