Ordered a Great Eastern Tidioute Scout in tractor green bone tonight. So far my user slip joints have consisted of Case Yellow CV (sodbuster jr, medium stockman, peanut, and mini trapper). I've found that by far my favorite has been the sodbuster jr. (followed closely in 2nd place by the peanut). I knew I wanted a single blade 3.5-4" knife, and due to this forum I was pretty sure it would be a GEC. Just wanted to say thanks to Dennis Strickland, your photos definitely helped me make a final decision, you Sir are an enabler. :D I'll snap some photos when it arrives, I've got this odd feeling I'm now on a slippery slope...

Looking forward to seeing pics. I have looked at the same knife online numerous times, but just haven't pulled the trigger. I like the green
and from most reviews here, the quality seems to be very good

soulogun you will find the scout to be a sturdy pattern built like a tank. one of the original gec patterns able to handle any task. opening may be a little hard so do'nt cut yourself. however this is standard in this pattern which is truly a heavy duty tool.

Congratulations. GEC makes some great knives, I bought the Pioneer in green and like it a lot.

I have tractor green tiditou #73 in mail. Waiting it to arrive eagerly and even more eagerly now :)
