Finding 5lbs of sterling silver in my closet=knife collection expansion :D

Lol, this got out of hand :D I dont think of all of my financial transactions as investments. ANYWAY... I'm more exited about having additions to my collection than something that holds abstract value. Paramilitary 2 is a commodity in itself XD

You found $1361 worth of silver. Sold over half of it for $600 to buy some knives.

So you sold an appreciating asset (silver) to buy a depreciating liability (knives).

The value on the silver is only going to go up while the value on the knives is just going to keep going down.

The value of silver is half of what it was 2 years ago. I had sterling silver which is .925% so its not spot value and you can never get spot value for your precious metal commodities.

how about an emerson knife for the collection, a commander or mini commander or a full size roadhouse make great gifts for one's self.

Congrats on your find and purchases, Kitten Party. It doesn't matter if you have silver, gold or other possessions, as we are all just 'renting' anyway. ;)

I only buy knives made of silver. I'm a knife lover, and a financial genius. :D

Congrats on your find Kitten Party, and your happiness with your new purchases.
