No one else interested in this? The show is entertaining (for me anyway) and shows some nice locations. They just aired the two-hour special in Nepal and I thought it was great. They also showed a one-hour making-of special which showed some more in depth footage of the people and such. I can't be the only person in the Cantina who saw it, can I? Take care.

saw something about this, short answer : yeti probably real, probably bear-- not a moaning ape :D

I believe there is something the people are seeing, just not sure what though. Man has become delusional in thinking we know everything about the world around us, yet we are proven wrong on a daily basis.IF the yeti is a 8ft up-right walking ape, with basic tool making abilities like chimps, best to give them their space. An angry 6ft gorilla is quite a fright, let alone a 8ft unknown ape.live and let live is the best policy.

watch season 2 of the show called destination truth on netflix, they find a verified yeti track in nepal.

I agree. Here's something Yangdu posted some years ago: Yeti History by Kelsang Lama

I like bigfoot:D As I posted on another thread, I like believing there's a little mystery left in the world and that this place is bigger than just us. I'm not sure anything like this exists, but I want it to. This show in particular, was/is worth watching just for the amazing footage of Nepal and sherpa interaction. I really enjoyed the making-of/after-show. If you're interested in Nepal, it's worth a watch. Take care.

Haven't seen that show, but I'm reminded of a great book for kids (from 1959 or so): "Tintin in Tibet", in which the yeti plays a prominent role:

My kids went through a Tintin phase, so I've read them all, and they're excellent. My favorite is "Tintin in Tibet", in which he travels to Tibet by way of Kathmandu.

I seen the episode,me and my son never miss one.i got a kick out of the long haired big guy ,when they were all being interviewed and he puked on camera,my son was laughing,my wife hates the show,my son is autistic and he gets so excited when they do their calls, its like he asks me and my wife a hundred questions, constant blabbering and flapping his hands, which I call putting a spell on it, in front of the tv,dad is that a bigfoot call, why do they call a bigfoot, mom are bigfoots real, dad what do bigfoots eat.. this goes on for an hour or two.wouldnt miss it for the world..

I may not like the show that much, but bargs, reading about your boy enjoying it made me smile( but yes it is worth watching for the hooting )

thanks Gehazi, my son is my life and we get on the front deck and do our bigfoot calls together. we can even get our dog howling lol.

I'd like to think that there's Bigfoot/Yeti. The crew of one of those shows did some filming around here. If the "Bigfoot Drum & Bagpipe Marching Band" had passed by more than 50 yards from them, they'd never have known.

Again, I love the show and have zero experience hunting sasquatches, but the methods used on TV sure do contrast with the way we hunt most everything else:) Maybe they're going for a sort of under-manned drive.

To add to Jay's video, I also understand it was discovered that when an animal track in the snow was left for a day or so the sun could, at times, have the effect of enlarging and changing the shape substantially. I believe this can happen even if the snow doesn't actually melt. Someone recently had a hair sample tested and it indicated there was a hybrid polar bear still living in the Himalayas. So, the bottom line is the yetis better be careful as there are some large bears roaming the hills as well!

What if the Yeti have domesticated Polar Bears as a form of transportation to essentially become the most terrifying mounted cavalry unit possible:eek:

The story as told by old myths handed down in my own family stemming from NW Ireland and those of Native Americans we know that we lived around during my wife's tour in the Indian Health Service all indicate these 'forest dwellers' or old men of the forest, big foot or whatever are our relatives. I had an old Zuni tell me once pretty much flat out that one of the beings in the Shalako represents this being and others and that at one time, we worked together.

Now I have the Zuni story written down and its being worked on by another researcher who added to it supposedly for a documentary but we'll not hold our breath. He likes to dream and aims high I give him that but he has uncovered some interesting things. In olden times, past age a land called "Doggerland" existed. It was just south of what is today Scandinavia and was part of where the North Sea is today apparently. Also, this swamp bayou type area was lush in game, had a long history and a great culture there at one time. A great sea faring culture and this culture along the coast of 'primitive men' grew separate and adapted separate to those more inland that remained more primitive and wild. Apparently the records all indicate all these peoples were tall Nordic types, wild men of the forest included. Some Goliath or taller giants as the holy book says. Imagine the series of cataclysms and these waves in succession of what most say looks like three over time took their toll and sunk what was once their home. Sea farers are forced inland. Clashes occurred. Mitten piles of all the sea shells and what not were and still are seen all over indicating land claims. Dead were buried there. That is how we know they were tall.

The story my granny told was that the "WOOTAN" or WOODDAN were a tribe of these wild men of the forest that were in treaty with a tribe of the coast dwellers. During the time of seeking new homes these seafarers came across the Wootan tribe of wild men of the forest. At first fights took place. In time a daughter was caught and not hurt but released. It led to trade, to good will and eventually the sailors and the wild men of the forest working together to survive. Now this was said to be how granny and the O'Neill clan saw it and how she explained the wild stories. Is it true? Not sure but supposedly these Wootan were masters at blending with the forest. Disappearing in it even and the name meaning woods or forest carried over in the Frisians I think she said which was our people. We learned the art of camo and how to blend where we were unfamiliar from them, they learned sea and coastal ways and sailing to get to new territory from us or at least used it long enough to hitch along and later became great Welch settlements throughout parts of even the Americas down into Ohio and WV where I grew up. Not long ago a chap posted a video of a big foot he saw from inside his tent. Looked very neanderthal and very tall. Quite a brow and hair OMG! If fake it was a great talent doing the makeup. I'll see if I can find it as it is one of few vids I 've seen that brought me to a halt to do a double take.
