Finding old W2 tool steel

Does anyone know what to look for when looking for old/recycled w2 steel, I know drill rod and some files were made from it. Anything else to look for? This has become my favorite steel and its to hard to come by. Hoping Aldos next batch it great.

I know Jesus Hernandez found a ton at a out of business machine shop. It was years ago but that might give you an idea or two.

I never found any recycled old stuff as good as the old 'known' W2 I found. But large old USA files were the closest.

I keep hoping for that estate auction with a pile of steel in the shop. Sadly though times are so tough anything and everything is getting hauled to the scrapyard
