Finding out the laws?

Where is there information about Federal, State, and local knife laws? Where can I find out what I can and can't carry, and how?

For most people, in most places, Federal law does not regulate what you may or may not carry. State law and local ordinance does. Check whether or not your state government has a web site and if it contains the state laws in which you are interested. For local ordinances, try the reference desk at your main library. Of course, this will probably not uncover relevant court decisions. If all else fails, talk to an attorney. In my experience, most police officers are poor sources for this type information.
