Why is it so hard lately to find the new items? I've been trying to buy a Spydercard and several other of the newer items and everywhere I try is out of stock.
 
Probably depends on how numerous and well connected your local stores are.

At least in So. Calif, Spydercards were to be found in several shops including Plaza Cutlery in Costa Mesa.
