I have just received a Bob Lum tanto folder from Spyderco. It is, with out a doubt, the finest production folder I have ever seen. It is virtually flawless. Most production knives have visible flaws, grind lines that are uneven or miss-aligned, handle components that are a little mis-aligned or roughly finished, grind lines that are viaible on the liners or handle spacers, etc.
But this knife has no visible imperfections! I have other Spyderco knives (Mille, Endura)as well as Benchmade, Cold Steel, Emerson, Buck, et al, but none compare to this! The lock-up is like a vault- vertually no blade play whatsoever. Opening action is as smooth as silk, and the VG010 blade is the typical Spyderco scary-sharp!
Well worth the $120.00 price. Almost a shame to use it, it is so nice. But I plan to use it hard and I will let you know how it holds up.

If you like that knife, you may want to try to hunt down a tanto Sebenza.
Same blade, but a perfect grind. (my Lum Tanto's grind is a bit uneven)

I had a Spyderco Lum tanto. I liked the way it looked, but didn't care for the liner lock. A lockback Lum tanto would be great.

I've got a Bob Lum Tanto. Very knice to look at. Have never been able to bring myself to use it. It sits and powders it's nose all day in my desk drawer. I occasionally feed it some grapes and fluff it's pillows.

That's why I bought a used one that already had some scratches. They cut as good as they look. The prettiest production blade around. And also carries very well for a knife it's size.

My first time attending the N.J.Knife Club meeting Sunday was like a kid going to a candy shop.

One knife on display was a Buguszewski folder.
Now this knife is the finest folder I have ever had the pleasure
of handeling.
The finish is in the Loveless class. Just like a mirror.
This has a exceptionally smooth action. I never felt anything like it. Very sturdy and strong.
It has a good balance to it.
I am told that they run $650 to $750.
Where can I get one?
