Finger Twirls

Hi folks, have a question about finger twirls. When doing them do you use your thumb to guide the safe handle along or do you only use the rest of your fingers? Also, on the balisong.com video for the twirl throw, what kind of twirl is he doing?

Nope, don't use the thumb, just the rest of the fingers.

I think the one you are talking about is the one where it shows his entire upper body? If so he doesn't do a basic horizontal opening, he just flips the bite handle back, does half a finger twirl and just pops it into the air, it rotates 1 1/2 times and he catches it (notice he catches the bite handle first).

just out of curioussity, the guy doing all those phat moves @ balisong.com, is that the author of the page? (don't remember his name, but you all know who i mean.)

I always assumed that those videos on balisong.com were bootlegged from the jeff imada videos, but since ive never seen his videos i am probably wrong.

We are talking about the dude on www.balisong.com, the site that sells FHM's, not clays site(www.balisongxtreme.com). U can click on "techniques" on a pulldown menu and get some videos. But yes, clay is the man.
