Mostly I read the posts in the knifemakers threads and learn. A couple times a year, I'll finish a blade that's worthy of a picture. It's an 0-1 convex grind, cold blued, & has a Bubinga handle. Sheath is just a wet molded quickie.
Looks like a very comfortable knife to carry and use, and one that has style and is beautiful, but not so frilly one would think twice before actually using it for real.
How did you heat treat the blade?
Thanks for all the kind words, the new owner is going to everyday carry it. I'm looking forward to his future feedback. Alarion, I did a triple oil quench using my forge.
Scott, you don't know me, but I'm about to use a small piece of that 440c from the generous pile of stock you gave Dan C., and wanted to thank you for the opportunity to try a stainless knife. Dan isn't getting much shop time since the baby arrived, poor booger. I practically live in the shop now... and it looks like it too. gotta get the place cleaned up.
