[/IMG] yeah, tapping on the last pin and what happens...CRACK!!! Man I was sooooo irritated but, live and learn. I put JB weld between so it should be ok when it sets up. All in all I'm happy with it, probably use some micarta or g10 next time.

I like puukko style knives. ( yes, that is spelled right)

Work a bit more on fit, finish, and keeping everything straight. Spend more time sanding. take your time doing all the steps. Making a knife fast usually makes a poorer quality knife.

Bo Bergman's book, "Knifenaking" is the book to get if you want to make good Nordic style knives.

Thanks, I'll look for the book online. I was wanting to use flare tubing to hold the Handel on, thought that might make it look a little cleaner. The finish is a bit better that what the picture showes(I hate iPhone pics!) but your right, I get excited and try to get it done a little to quick lol. I do like the nordic style of knife it seems like a very functional knife in many situations. Thanks for the advice.

+1 on Bergmans book.

Also has some good information on traditional leather sheaths, along with leather and wood sheaths in the Sami style.

That's my next step, learn how to make a good leather sheath. Thanks for letting me know that.
