ok this is that knife with the stupid useless buffalo horn handle (all 3 sets that didn't work) i went with some of my stabilized black maple burl
turned out pretty nice. i'm happy with it. let me know what you think

In my humble opinion, that turned out very well. Nice, smooth lines well accentuated by the handle. Something to be proud of...

Very nice Mike. Personally I think that looks beter than horn would anyways.

thanks guys.

yeah horn is nice. but i like this burl a lot more.
next time someone wants horn i'll talk em into to black paper micarta:D

Very nice, I'm always in favor of maple burl. Did you make the mosaic pins yourself?

 Yup, buffalo horn=headaches much of the time, and to me doesn't look as nice as that maple you used:thumbup:

Nice knife!

 Very nice indeed, Mike. Yup, that burl looks real nice, do you have any for sale?

What are the specs on the rest of the knife, length, thickness, blade material, finish? Curious minds want to know

Sweet knife there Mike.

You've got to make a few more that bend in the middle. Saw pics of your first folder and I really liked it.

Looking good Mike! That black burl is much nicer than horn. I'm finishing up a Nessmuck with that caramel burl I got from you and the colors are great. This last batch of burl you have is super!

Wood RULES!!!!! I received 2 setsof horn scales LAST Chrtistmas....one impala looking set and one of asian ram. Both of them are stick languishingin my sotrage cabinet. The wood has really been giving them a lot of grief too. You know how mean Cocobolo can be....all that teasing:D

Glad you put your demond to bed! Nice job! I had one I rehandled 3 times as well. I'm sure glad it's gone!

Michael, I can't tell you how impressed I am. It seems like every time you post, your skills have improved by leaps and bounds!

Wow, man...
