Finished my first knife today.

First knife ever! It's made from 3/16 inch A-2, which I ground on a Harbor Freight 1x30 belt sander and heat treated myself with a torch (I don't know how well I did with the heat treat). I did my best to give it a full convex grind, though there's still a pretty obvious secondary bevel. The handle is black linen micarta. I know this is nothing compared to what a lot of you guys make regularly, but I'm pretty proud of it.

Wow, I'd say that you're off to a great start. While you only have a torch to heat treat with, grab some 1084 or 5160 as they're much easier to harden.
