Finished my knife today

saturday i had the privlage of meeting rob and marylin 2 very fine people. I picked up my gify knife and several others rob heat treated for me along with a etch o matic pin stock some nice dymond wood about half a dozen more blades a slab of polish and i went to town when i got home. I made a sheath for the knife on sunday while the scales were being glued and i finished today after about 3 hours of sanding very pretty stuff called vavona burl the knife is cpm154 and brass pin stock i said to heck with the finger gaurd. Thanks again its a great gift for my fresh start at this new hobby. kellyw

I really like that wood, you did an exellent job. I have to agree,rob and marylin are great people. Great sheath, too.
 
Nice knife and sheath Kelly! That is beautiful wood. You call this a "hobby" - heh. Just wait... It'll become an obsession soon enough. :D
 
Great lookin knife you got there hellgap! I agree that the handle material is nice. The sheath is sweet too.

You did a great job setting that thong tubing, and the handle looks like it would have a great feel/grip.

Good looking knife. The addiction only gets worse from here. Many sleepless nights with visions of the "Next One" floating around in your head.

I feel for you. Today it is a "HOBBY", tomorrow it is an "OBSESSION".

During school, if I have nothing (or nothing better) to do, I draw knives in my notebook. Most people think I'm a serial killer.
 
thanks again everyone i really had fun doing it EXCEPT CUTTING MY HAND 4 STITCHES so i know ill never forget this one lol PS rob showed me his chain saw scar to make me feel better and i felt better instantly lol sorry rob i had to say that lol
