Finished my new sheath

Sounds good. I started out the same way, make a good solid sheath then learn the finishing stuff. :) By the way, if you have not already seen it, check out the Sheathing and Such Forum. You can get plenty of good information there.

Really like the paracord retention option but a leather strap just looks better. In the long run , leather would probably be more durable.
 
What did you use for that textured look?
And how did you get your first post so...horzontal??
