And another one that I gave to my cousin a while back.

The customer's knife (for her husband): O-1, full flat grind with slight convex finish, linen micarta, stainless tube, balanced at the index finger. Hand finished to 600 grit. They were both very pleased with the results.

The next one was one I had made and recently refinished for my cousin. Also O-1 with canvas micarta scales. Full convex grind to stand up to heavier use in his job (directional boring). Also hand finished to 600 grit and polished near the cutting edge. There's a slight swedge on each side near the tip to help with penetration.

Thanks for all the comments, guys! John, I've got a box full of various wood scales to try out at some time or another. I have some really nicely figured desert ironwood that I was thinking about as well as some nice cocobollo and mesquite. I need to get some stabilized burls to try out.

I'm grateful to any comments and/or critiques I can get. I'm always looking to improve my work, and I'd be happy to hear any suggestions from all of you for whom I have the utmost respect.
