Finished Small Hatchet

Finished this small hatchet a while ago. It's great for light chopping and also processing game.

I made the sheath like this because I envisioned it being strapped to a pack instead of on a belt.

.25" thick1095 steel
maple laminate scales
brass pins

about 9" overall length

We used to call those "Camp Cleavers". They cut everything from fatback to kindling.

This would be good for chopping lightered / fatwood. Nice blade!
