:) Not me, Wintermute. I don't post my reactions to Andy's work, but I enjoy seeing the development of his work and appreciation by his customers.

I'm old, and have seen a number of folks ascend in their respective professions, only to become enamored of their own magnificence. :rolleyes:

I appreciate Andy Roy, the man. Then, I appreciate his values. Then, his continually increasing demonstated talent delights me.

I know what you are saying, but...it is the guy I admire. It is a privilege to know him.
 
I hope my post didn't offend, it was meant to be a joke. My NY sarcasm doesn't always translate well over the internet.

I've "spoken" with Andy several times and he's definitely good people. And his constantly improving/evolving skills and designs are a testament to his personality and shows the diligent, dedicated, unassuming, self-improving type of guy he is.

I took it in the spirit intended...just prompted some reflection on my part as to why I favor Fiddeback Forge, and Andy.

Although..it IS a little suspicious that he never ages, don't you think? :D

It is very suspicious.:confused:

Since I first ran into Andy at Blade, my grey hair/brown hair ratio has increased by 14.3%. Andy, meanwhile, might actually have become slightly younger looking.

Very suspicious.:(

Thats what I'm saying. Practice. I have three duds in the shop right now. What to do with them? (one is the ladyfinger in question) Two hunters with penetrator tips coming up!

Then what. Anybody wanna take the oath?

Andy, I think you know I've already taken a whole lot of oaths.

My 'ethical backside' is covered in paper with lots of really tiny print.:o
 
The oath is a promise not to ever re-sell a dud. Then I have cheap knives for trustworthy guys.

I hereby swear to take any future Practical Hunters which are not deemed by their creator to be within his holy specs. I will not trade, sell or give lo these many blades to anyone. I will treat these blades as perfect, for perfect they will be to me. If I fail in this oath, let these very knives cut me a thousand time, and not just in the places which will make me look cool with the scars.

I have two dud Hunters. Will, the handles aren't beefy enough for you. No refunds on the duds. These two Hunters have a bit of warp. It was evident after heat treat, but now the knife has a handle, you can't even tell.
 
Great stuff Andy. I like the new hunters a lot and of course the Scandi's call to Me :D

Andy,

Was the box elder handle dyed half purple and half blue? Might want to ask for an all purple box elder handle on a KPH. Or black linen mircata. Can't make up my mind right now.
