Finished up a trail hawk for my wife!

Well after playing with my hawk on one of our koffee klatch knife kult outings my wife decided she wanted her own trail hawk. So I got busy working out the details and after a short while I got her done.

Laying out a pattern for burning.

After burning.

Hole drilled for cord wrapping.

All done, ready to hit the trail!!

Nice. What paint did you use for the hawk head?

Two coats of Krylon fluorescent pink. Two coats of clear. The pink was flat, no gloss so I hit it with the clear and it realy made it pop.

OK another question: Where did you find cord that color?

I got it from a military surplus store in Portland, OR called Andy & Bax. They have a bunch of different colors. As for an online source supply captain has a huge selection.
