Wow thats very impressive, very nice work. Decided to go with no tsuba? or just a small one that I cannot see? I wish I could help ya on the getting rid of it part, I'd make an offer but it wouldn be enough:D

Good luck with it and I hope to see more. Really like your work

Wait I saw the tsuba my bad.

I'd be interested in knowing what something like that would be worth today, because at the rate you're going, I expect your pieces to fetch a heck of a lot more in a couple of years.

I'm not into swords at all but I might have to buy one while I can still kinda sorta afford one. Great work!

Oh my, you were skillful to begin with, and now you're skyrocketing. I must say that I click on your new posts with anticipation, and it's always been gratifying and more. Wow. Keep up. One of the most exciting knifemaker you are.

That's gorgeous.... let me know when you decide how much you want to sell it for... I'd make you an offer, but it'd probably be to low and I don't want to insult you. You've got talent. :)

I love it! Come up with a price also and I will consider it if I can afford it.

Really nice. Great looking piece.

Real nice and great pics of your work there on your site. If you do any engraving we can talk a price. Obviously there are others also interested so the value is already going up...

thanks yall!
i am really blown away by the response here... wow

Peppe, what kind of engraving are you talking about?

thanks!
~Chris

Fantastic work! I wish I could afford to make a good offer!

I think within ten years you could be giving Bailey Bradshaw a major run for his money.

Wow! Your sure doing allot of great craftsmanship making this piece, just keep going you must have the natural ability to be a knife maker, you got the gift :)

Put that magical number out $$$ and we will see what we can work with. Someone is going to be a very happy buyer.

okay..
after alot of advice, and thought i am gonna put a price on it. if you think it unreasonable, i am totally open to offers, i would just prefer that you PM me with the offers (or email)
but first,
some details

W1 blade steel, 24" total blade length
total lenght of the sword is 25 1/4"
handle is stingray skin wrapped grenedillo wood
wrapped with silk ito, and bronze menuki
copper habaki
horn fittings to include the fuchi and kashira, and the belt loop thing on the scabard
micarta fittings include the tsuba, fuchi(yes with the horn) the scabard tip and throat.
the scabbard is poplar lined with leather, and the blade fits very secuely.

the blade was taken to polish in a hybrid fasion, and showes the hamon nicely, though i dont profess to do a very good job yet, but i am working on it. the blade is razor sharp, and the sword is a full take down, and there is no rattling.

okay... now, the moment you ahve been waiting for. i got estimates of up to 3K but most of them were between 1500 and 2500. Rick Barrett sugessted between 1500 and 2000. however, this is my first sword, and i am not up to the quality of smiths like Walter sorrell or rick barret or jesus hernandez.

so.. all things consdered, i am gonna ask $1250 for it SOLD
please let me know if you are interested i prefer paypal. i can also be reached at Knifemaker87@gmail.com
thanks so much, and i fyou would like more pics, i can take them
~Chris

sorry i didnt ge to your question Peppe,

thanks
~Chris
