Well it took me weeks and weeks, of an hour here and hour there to put the handle slabs on and shape with a rasp, then a file, them progressively finer sandpapers to finish it up. It came out better than I had hoped. Now I need advice on how to get the last sanding dust out and finish it up to shine and polish it up. Any tips would be appreciated. A dust rag still left it cloudy. Wax? Oil? What kind? a buffer? I do not want to screw it up after all this work. Now I know why I will not quit my day job. :) I admire you pro's even more than I did before. :) :) I tried the search function, but it did not work for me.

Thanks,
Dave.

Cocobola does not need anymore than a paste wax finish. Take it down to at least 320 and then rub it with oooooo steel wool and then the paste wax. It will also buff out real nice if you have a buffer.

RR - Thanks for the information. I will post a pic when I am done. Do you do any type of wet wash to get the fine dust off before waxing? The dust makes it look cloudy.
Thanks,
Dave.

trentu - Thanks the compressed air worked. Then I waxed it. It looks great!
Thanks all. When I get a chance, I will post a pic

Dave.
