Finishing damascus? Post-etch techniques sought

I use the 3 parts distilled water to one part ferric. When I take it out I start spraying it with windex with ammonia. I then take to water and dawn soap rubbing with 1500 grit sandpaper. I have read Jerry Fisk then boils it for a time to set the dark colors.
