I just placed my first order for micarta, I have only ever worked with wood. I just wanted to know how to finish it if a wanted a real rough feel like a esee knife, and not to shiny. I was thinking just sanding to 240 grit then rub some CLP or WD-40 on it i heard?

Micarta can get slick pretty fast. So you're on the right track by finishing at a low grit if you want tack. Linen and paper micarta get especially slick, so a lot of people texture or carve their scales to add grip. If you want a good texture and have access to the equipment, you can take canvas micarta and lightly sand blast it to bring out the texture in the canvas a bit.
