Hey everyone. The name is Jimbob. I recently got my shop stood up and have been putting some serious work into my 1st knife. I would really appreciate any help yall can give when it comes to filing the spine.

The theme of the knife is water...so i am looking for a water themed file design with a how to. I plan to place it along the bottom half of the spine.

It will be 5160 from nj steel. For the handle it will be cocabolo stacked with stainless, black g10 (home made), and blue/turquoise marbalized acrylic. I hope it looks as good in yalls minds as it does in mine.

Anyways, thank you guys. This forum has been such a help to me in my learning process. I would love to post some pictures on here but it says i am not allowed to yet. The design will be a spear point blade with choil and handle shape similar to that of a spindrift knife.

It says i can only load a picture from a url. Do i need an app for this? Or do i copy the website and paste it in here. I have pictures on my pinterest account.

If you right click the picture while on your pinterest page, and go to properties, it should give you a URL that you can paste in the "insert image" prompt. Pinterest may also have a "share" button which allows you to embed the code for the picture, or copy the URL. I don't really use or look at pinterest ever, so I'm not sure how they are formatted. You can also attach the picture directly from your computer.
