Hello all,

Need help with a new handle and refinish for my ranger knife otherwise known as the sissipuuko. Go check them out at Kellam knives so you have an idea. I need a new handle that is exact dimensions near quill ion area as that is what makes it fit the sheath it came with. Current handle is on there with superglue after becoming very loose after lots of throwing. Knife throws no spin throwing like a dream. Any case I would need old handle off, a new handle put on and blade refinished in some simple dark and durable finish or maybe polished- let me know the options. Will send you knife to assess and we can take it from there. This knife has sentimental value and the steel is excellent so it deserves a 2nd life.

Depending on whats going on under that rubber handle I may be able to do that for you.

I've taken apart knives with molded handles before and sometimes you'll find the poorest excuse for a tang.

PM me and we'll talk.

someone else on the forum took one apart and posted a pix. Don't know where it is but actually this knife happens to have a substantial hidden tang. I think you'll have plenty to work with. It's a much more solid knife than it looks. Took HUNDREDS of throwas and misses for handle to go to heck and the bade laughed at clanging off rocks and hard seasoned wood. Finns know their knives. Leifjl- PM coming your way :)
