fire and a finger cut

I hate when that happens, I cut the crap out of my index finger a while back making spider hot dogs for my kids out by the campfire.....

I know this is maybe a little warped. But I get a strange reaction when I cut myself with a brand new knife. I'm running around trying to stop the bleeding and ease the pain, yet, I keep looking at the blade and smiling at the same damn time, because it's so beautifully sharp and I know it's well made...:D

Please advise. Should I see a doctor (not one for the finger cut)?

Brian,
I do the same thing; I just stop and pause to admire the nice, sharp edge.
...I guess we're both getting padded cells.;)

Funny you say that, I actually LIKE cutting my finger. I always say 'once it cuts you, it's yours for life'. I believe that. Once a knife cuts me, I can never sell it. I can gift it, but beware to the giftee!

:)

well the funny thing is i didn't look at my finger first ,i looked on the blade for the tip of my finger:D

Isn't crazy how you ponder at how much blood comes out, worrying about needing a stitch or the like, and then after you clean the cut it doesn't look bad at all. This always happens to me. I try to tell myself that when I first get a bad knick.
