can anyone point me in the rite direction to find some fire brick thanks Russ

Home Depot sells them for less than $1 each. Try home & garden stores or places that sell stuff for fire places.

Try ceramic suppliers on the web. Axner Pottery would be a good choice. There are two kinds of bricks available, hard brick and soft brick. Either one will work but soft brick is much easier to cut and has much better insulative value.

Hey Russ, over here in Tallahassee, Home Depot and Lowes don't carry firebrick, I had to go to a local brick company and buy some. You should have a brick company or two over that way. They sell them mostly for fireplace construction. -Guy Thomas
