In a desert, a to make a fire drill and build a fire is a very attainable skill. But how do you tranfer it to a jungle environment where normal fire drills become useless due to the air humidity?
jeff randall will have some insite on this topic, i think in a previous discussion he said that the natives usually carried fire with them rather than have to make it each time.
Well, if you're in the jungle, there are other methods available. Bamboo split in 1/2 makes a good fire saw, and then you can also make a compression fire plug with bamboo and grasses.
I'll try to find some info to post about these, but my scanner is broken, so I can't just scan my books.
