The goinggear striker that Adam and Tony both mentioned really works good. Also you can try a hacksaw blade cut down into about a 3" peice with the edges rounded off, they work great also.

In the mag/rod blocks I carry, multitool file for the mag shavings and the fine edge utility blade for the rod/sparks.
