Fire Kit sample photos

Back out for about 30 minutes playing with the fire kit. Everything is damp here this morning but I have determined that you do not need to carry tinder with you with this rod. It will light just about anything in the woods. Make a few shavings...it will light it. Gather some dry leaves...it will light them. Use the capsules on the fire kits for other survival items. Don't waste space storing tinder. You don't need it.

I built one of the protos out with a bobbin of fishing line (had to trim the edges of the bobbin down to fit inside), hooks, sinkers, and swivels. Glued my compass in to the cap. This thing is the tool, dude!

WOW, it sounds like the capsule has more room than what I was thinking.

Izula and Fire Kit...Izula and Fire Kit...I don't have enough stuff as it is...this is what I keep saying to myself.

Terry, you and I need a mid-winter camping trip, just not where YOU live, that's too cold for a tent. I'm a wuss. :D

Agreed on both counts, just ignore all the stuff in the closet, and the drawers, and backpacks...

As far as being too cold for a tent, remember a month ago when I told you about the heat and hot water being out?
It was too cold then, and it only got into the 20's-30's.
Doable, but cold.
