Good man, now is not the time for bravado. If it comes time to cut and run, be safe and do so. Geez, I'd have had the cars already loaded if something like that happened around here.
Be careful, and all the best hopes from my end here.
Well I had to evac. to my brothers house and
I'm praying that maybe tomorrow I'll be able
to return to an intact home! Thanks for all
the support guys/gals I appreciate it!I'll
try and give you another update tomorrow.
Thanx
Good News, I arrived home and it was untouched by fire!
Although I'm not 100% out of the woods yet I'm fairly sure
my house will remain safe. Thanks for the kind words to
all who replied!
Jaime
I'm glad to hear that all is good so far. All my fiance's family lives in Kelowna, British Columbia where one of the province's fires this summer burnt 200+ homes. Her brother and family were evacuated twice. Many of her nephew's friends lost their homes. During Thanksgiving (Canadian) we went up for a drive through the neighbourhoods. Devastating. One felt quite powerless (which we are insofar as nature is concerned) and hollow. If you see it coming, run fast and run hard my friend. We were lucky up here. There were no fatalities. Grab your family and pets first. Pictures second. The rest is pie. Pray for rain and no wind. Good luck and I hope all goes as well as can be for you, your family, and your friends.
Ya know, now that you're home, you can make good use of those Busses and cut yourself a fire-break around the property so it isn't as threatening if it happens again...
JK, glad to hear you found things intact. There's too many stories and photos on the tube about those that didn't.
