yes its a sjtac variant, the scales are regular slabs, not mags, the coating is a brown color...... not sure on blade thickness right now...... out of town can let you know asap

A little help for VTW since he's on the road...

Mine measures .200" at the ricasso & pommel
I would say they are mag handles (they are thicker than my Mole Jack handles)
The coating is "Muddy" which is a nice rich brown.
