Here's my take on another certain company's fire starter...

I used one of those pill carrier bottles that go on your keychain, one ca get em at CVS, Rita-Aid, Walgreen's, etc. You shoulda seen the sparks I was throwing using a hacksaw to cut the firesteel handle off! I used Plumber's Goop and waterproof epoxy, the kind you roll in your fingers til it changes colors, to glue the firesteel rod into the pill thingie.

Does the firesteel actually go INTO the pill capsule, or is it epoxied to the outside? If it does go in, did you just drill a hole in the capsule?

Yeah, I drilled a hole into it and applied the glue 1st, and then epoxy, from the inside.
