Emergency tender is all its missing IMO.

For that I'll use PJ soaked cotton balls stuffed in a McDonalds straw and sealed with the lighter.

Thats the steel striker to go with the flint and char cloth. Hardened carbon.

That is interesting because its such an old method for starting fires. By old, I mean Roman kinda old.

If you look at the second picture of my firekit,, my striker is there..
They are all very similar....

One thing other than prepared tinder that is missing is a nice little magnifying glass...

A magnifying glass and char cloth are also traditional firestarting techniques as well...

In my opinion a nice small glass one is better than a cheap plastic one,, but a plastic will work as well...

Magnifying glass and char coth are one of my favorite ways of making fire..
Very quick if the sun is right..
