How many of you have started a fire using your Swamp Rat Knife. Whether it is striking a Ferro rod or you used your knife to make a hand or bow drill lets hear your story. Any story is a good one just let us know the details and how you have done it. If you have pictures or videos show them off.

I once used a Swamp Rat knife to split wood and then cut it into little pieces of kindling, which I then ignited with a small phosphorous sulfide-tipped stick. Does that count?

I have never been out with a naked (Swamp Comp) Swamp Rat blade, so I have never stuck a fire steel or ferro-rod with my Rats... (spine of coated blades not so good for that!) but I have made kindling with my RMD... that counts, right?

First.
Get a bunch of old tires and magazines and cardboard boxes and pallets.
Second.
Stack the tires and pallets.
Third.
Cut up the cardboard and pallets and stuff with your knaaaf.
C)
Pour gasoline on all of it. Lots of gasoline. Unsafe amounts. Pour one of those lines of gas away from it that will act as a fuse an let you light that fucker from like a block away.
7.
Light that fucker from like a block away.

Thenmakesmores...

Hypothetically.

One of my crew was asking about survival stuff while we were in the field last week. I ended up showing him how to make: snares, wooden fishhooks and a fire with a bow drill. I used the Regulator for all of it, including a flower I whittled for my wife. I’ll post a picture of it later with the knife.
