  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Fire Structure

I mentioned air currents Mike. just a couple of posts up. That is one of the reasons
I like to make fires with way I do. get that tinder and kindling up a few inches so the air can get in there and move around some.

Ok you guys that just talked about the preperation after that what do you normally do then? do you like the log cabin or the tipi or just throw sticks on and they they fall the way they fall.
That is the real question that was asked.

What Carl said was right on.

I usually just set up one log as a backboard/wall.

Me too, though if its the first fire in the same pit/stove I use one on the bottom too. As mentioned it's all about the preparation.
