Dude, I wasn't trying to rehash the profiteering thread. I was just pointing out that one was for sale already. Apologies to all.
Hey... really the only thing that you may have done wrong is link the feeBay auction in your post, or whatever it was that had to be edited out. Other than that? Lively discussion! No apologies, LOL, just a rather sore topic here right about now.![]()
They originally sold for $237 + 14.95 shipping.
By the time Ebay gets there cut, paypal gets there cut, the guy might make 20 bucks........Someone said it in another post, "would do better with a paper route!"
Although skeletons seem to currently be well priced!![]()
If only I HAD some cash!
It sucks that at times you see knives on sale for more than the original cost, but it is the only way some folks can even get near a Busse knife. I wish there was a better way for the begginer. Hows that saying go? "don't hate the player, hate the game" I have bought from members in here and I have purchased on eBay. Both went well and I am glad I did it. Now I have some more experience with all three, (Busse Combat/Swamp Rat/ & Scapper) and I have figured out how to get what I want or at least how to stay on top of what is going on regarding whats on sale By using these theads & post as well as constantly visiting the websites. I believe it is just human nature to turnaround sell that which you can. I have sold knives I own, all with no reserve auctions. Some did well and some did not. I have never jacked up a price but that is me. Supply and demand is a funny thing and if the Busse's built enough knives that they always had plenty of stock at all times, then they would be just another quality knife company such as Spyderco or Tops or Benchmade. But they are who they are and build as they do and that is what gives there products the mystique that we all covet. It's up to the potential buyer to decide how much he or she is willing to pay for the item in question. It is not always about what the item is actually worth. Just my own personal thoughts, thats all....
Don't look now, you don't want to know......
Actually I have been jerking your chain all day... I am OHIOMITCH![]()
I did have one double inspected, it looks more ground than the others? maybe got rejected and retouched?
