Emerson's Barrett Knife:

Wilson Combat has the best and highest quality knives including many customs, mid-techs and production ones. They have design inputs to varying degrees. No other firearms manufacturer comes close.

Their knives are made by: Les George, Chris Reeve, Steve Woods, Burt Foster, Hogue Knives, Fox Knives and Becker Knife & Tool. They also have a few more under their Custom Alliance line.

Glock's Feldmesser (field knife) 78 is quite a nice one. I keep one as a backpack knife. Nice, beefy fixed blade with good construction. I've seen some great torture tests.

All the other gun-company knives that I've read about seem basically between crap and halfway OK. So I don't buy them.

I had a Sig Tac "Rangemaster" that was a damn fine knife. It's especially crazy since they were made by Lionsteel, sourced to Fox, then contracted to Sig. SIG clearanced them out for as low as $30.

I was given it by a buddy. Gave it back to him later in good faith once I got a new knife. When he got murdered in a random attack it was the only keepsake I wanted, but his sister "lost" it when she took all of his knives and found out I wanted it.

Thats good to know as i would of thought colt and s&w would have been two of the better ones . What is wrong with them ?

I was in a training seminar for work and the instructor gave a few Smith and Wesson liner lock knives out as prizes. I got one and it was just a piece of crap. Cheaply made with terrible fit and finish. I gave it away. Typical Chinese crap knife.

One I haven't heard mentioned yet is the FNH branded Strider SnG, they have their logo, slogan, and a nice grind that's not found on any other production SnGs :D

Wilson combat puts their name on some really excellent knives, the CRK and George stuff especially :)

You know those really cheap and crappy no-name China knives that are branded with SWAT, Search and Rescue, etc etc etc?

Well they are basically those knives with a Colt or S&W brand.

Surefire had a cutlery division that put out some fairly nice stuff, but that was shut down due to a lack of sales.

Beretta also sells a large selection of knives some rebranded but some unique designs as well. They're from Japan, China and Italy. Their tactical ones are made by Fox Knives. They even sell some William Henry folders.

Many of the Beretta knives are made in Seki, Japan and are rather nice.

As has been said though, most others are just a name stamped onto a questionable product.

Just around when I had started collecting knives, I bought a clone of this. (I didn't know it at the time, though.)

Clone-specs: (Don't know the specs of the original.)
Overall Length: 27,50 cm / 10.8 inches.
Blade Length: 11,50 cm / 4.5 inches.

(Closed Specs.)
Length: 16,00 cm / 6.2 inches.
Width: 5,60 cm / 2.2 inches.
Thickness: 1,80 cm / 0.7 inches.
Weight: 426,00 gram / 0.9 pounds.

-----------

I think that this was just a limited run by Knights Armaments, and I don't think they make them anymore.

Very nice. I never knew KAC made knives. Their SR15 Mod 1 is on my buy list though. All knife buys and everything else are on hold until I get one....it's so hard to do, but that Is a mighty fine weapon...and I must have it.

Hogue Gun Grips isn't a true firearms maker, but so far they seem to have one of the best lines of knives for a company that didn't start out making knives.

Possibly the worste knife I ever held was a Mossberg folder.
Another I have only read about is Crossman. I think an airgun manufacturer who licensed a line of knives.

I have about every UZI folder made. The USA models arent that much better than the newer imports. Not as bad as the Colt/SW but not worth carrying I just got them for the fun of it and I like some of the styles. Have models from most other firearms manufacturers and same story.

What Wilson Combat knife is made by Becker Knife and Tool? I'm intrigued......

Also, I don't think Browning knives have been mentioned yet. Anyone know who currently makes and/or has made their knives in the past?

Wilson Combat just sells Becker Necker (BK11), Companion (BK2), Combat Utility (BK7) and Becker TacTool (BK3).

Ah, I see. Thanks. So they don't even have any special "Wilson" markings on them or anything?

No Wilson markings on the Becker ones.

Others are collaborations of various inputs from Wilson. Sometimes it's just a unique color, grip, finish, etc. Other times more in terms of design like on the RRX and ELC models which are made for them by Fox Knives USA and Fox Knives Italy.
