I had my Manix 2 XL in my turnout gear the other night, and having a knife then just felt... Right. What do you guys carry? Pics and stories are highly wanted here!

Volunteer Firefighter/First Responder. I carry a ZT0301 in addition to trauma sheers.

My son just became a junior member of his towns FD, he carries a ZT0350.

I'm a retired forestry firefighter, on my belt everyday at work was a Leatherman Tool, and in my pocket a Spyderco Endura. I liked having a knife that I could grab and open with one hand while holding onto the object needing cutting.
On top of my fire shelter/gear pack for working on the fire line was a Becker Knife & Tool Brute. I used the Brute for cutting vines and brush that I would get hung up on while stringing a counter-fire with my drip torch.

I have carried a bunch of stuff over the years, even some higher end folders (Strider and Emerson). Right now I have a Spyderco Street Bowie attached to my vest (under my shirt), a Benchmade Presidio Auto in my weak-side pocket, and an Emerson LeGriffe partially concealed behind my duty belt. Probably overkill, but they don't weigh much and I like em ;)

Any stories of using them?

Thankfully no. I did momentarily attempt to pry open a steel door with an SnG, but quickly though the better of it. I mostly use whatever folder I carry to cut the same type things most people do.

For duty I carry a Kershaw blur tanto in my pocket, a gerber multi-tool in my bag, and a leatherman knife on my belt. For off duty, I carry a ZT0600. Seriously considering going back to an 0560 or Spyderco Military which I can honestly carry both on duty and off and not cry if I lose or break it. It'll probably be the 0560 because of the titanium handle and a blade that can stand up to light prying and hammering if necessary. When the field tac comes out, I'll probably be getting one of those to carry on my duty belt as well.

I used to carry a ZT0560. Wasn't able to get to it and open it when I really needed it. Now I carry a waved Matriarch 2 and a serrated Endura most days.

I carry a Devil's Elbow on my belt on my support side. I also have a Leatherman squirt in my pocket and a Spyderco Salt in my vest.

Usually a Benchmade 710 or a Kershaw JYD2. Nothing I'm not afraid to break or lose. Or have a co-worker do it for me at that.
